Junior High Programming

...a full week of camp life with programming, prepared meals, and a whole bunch of like-minded folks.

MUUSA is a place for spiritual reflection, intellectual growth, and creative play within a caring and supportive community.

Junior High age teens live separately from adults with their own counselors.

Together, they plan much of  their own programming which includes games, athletics (like ultimate frisbee, hiking, e-gaming, and ridiculous games made up on the spot.) Worship and spiritual meetings are created and organized by campers and their counselors.

Teens of any age are always welcome at multi-generational activities that include pre-dinner social hours,  open-mic "Coffeehouse," an Intergenerational Pun-off, games, and spiritual meetings.

All inclusive registration fees include housing, meals, workshops and other activities. Additional fees may be required for some workshops and excursions.

A typical day at MUUSA

MUUSA can be pretty exhausting, so breakfast comes early! Join your friends and counselors as you wolf down a pile of pancakes, a handful of cereal and a French toast stick! Say hi to your folks on the way to get a hot chocolate. After that, stay with your group to join everyone at morning celebration (sort of a worship service with a lot of singing).

After that, start planning out the rest of your day. A dip in the pool? Sure! A game of pickleball? Okay. Maybe a morning trip to the ice cream shop? Why not?

Soon it’s time for lunch. Wave at mom and dad and your little brother then it’s back to activities. Start planning your own group’s evening worship. Take a cat nap on a park bench. Take a trip to the e-gaming room. The point is, the day is pretty full.

By mid-week you will have planned an inspiring evening vespers for the whole camp. You will have explored every inch of the Ripon campus (including the “haunted” graveyard next door.) You will know everyone’s name and they will know yours. And you will have made some friends for life!

That’s just how it goes at MUUSA!
