Hearts Wide Open!

MUUSA welcomes 2026 Theme Speaker Suzelle Lynch!

The times we’re living in are frightening and disturbing, to say the least!  Working to preserve our democracy, protecting vulnerable friends and neighbors, and resisting tyranny while not forgetting to take care of ourselves is exhausting. The best antidote? Hearts Wide Open!  Practicing vulnerability, playfulness, empathy and joy helps us renew ourselves and build strong and resilient communities. Let’s go!

Rev. Suzelle Lynch (she/her) served UU congregations in Texas, Washington and California as well as 18 years at UU Church West in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Rev. Suzelle and the congregations she served were known for creative worship and strong commitments to social justice and anti-racism work. She’s received the UUA’s Young Adult and Campus Ministry award and a Human Rights award, and has essays published in two UUA Skinner House books.  Suzelle first came to MUUSA (LGSA) as a teenager – and she served as MUUSA theme speaker in 2004 and 2013. Now retired, Suzelle heads up Wisconsin Labyrinth Enthusiasts, writes songs, preaches around, makes art and does Ecstatic Dance in her new hometown of Sheboygan, WI where she lives with her husband Tom Ness.

Programs

MUUSA programs are divided by age range.  Daily programs are specifically targeted to Adults, Young Adults, High School, Middle School, Elementary and Early Childhood campers. The goal is for all campers to feel part of their own communities, even as intergenerational activities bring everyone together as a vital MUUSA community!

Workshops

Over 2 dozen MUUSA workshops and other activities are offered by campers. Workshops will be announced in early spring when anyone registered can sign up on a first-come, first-served basis.

Workshop proposals will be accepted until January 15.

Accomodations

Ripon College is well known throughout the Midwest as one of the most comfortable and convenient residential campuses.

Dormitory housing is located within easy walking distance of most MUUSA events with ample parking nearby.

Dormitory rooms are typical while most buildings include  extra amenities like lounges, kitchens and free laundry.

The dining hall is state-of-the art with many food options and "quiet dining" spaces.
